SOLID 2007

Well, that was the Festival for another year! What a great one!

This year, again, achieved great things for the Kingdom and we praise God for His amazing blessings - particularly with the weather! I don't think SOLID has enjoyed better weather for about five years! Who would have thought sunburn would be a problem for us!

Gallery
Over the summer, we’d like to build up a ‘Gallery’ of images of SOLID. Have you got any great pictures, or quotes, from your group that sums up your weekend this year? We’d love to see them and then publish them on this site. Click here to send us your photos, comments and even video clips. (Please contact us before sending video clips and let us know how big the file is to make sure it won't crash our system!) Coming shortly is a video of sumo wrestling by a couple of un-named youth leaders – it’s brilliant!... and has given us some ideas for next year…!

Feedback
I’ve had some great feedback from youth leaders and young people that has made all the hard work in preparation worth while – so thanks for your encouragement.

Thanks too for the constructive feedback. We know the Festival is not perfect and these comments help us develop an event that gets better each year, so keep these coming in.

Friends of SOLID
Following several suggestions, we will be launching a ‘Friends of SOLID’ newsletter in September with details of plans, hopes and dreams for the development of SOLID. There will also be items for prayer, things to share with your church and ways you get help us deliver SOLID events. I hope to send these out each term by email (to keep costs down!).

Worship Dates
We are planning three worship events this year – end of October, January and one just after Easter. Dates and venues will be finalised shortly and posted on the worship page. You will also receive details through the post.

Training Day
We have a training day planned on Saturday 3rd November ’07 for youth and children’s leaders in South Woodham Ferrers, near Chelmsford. Further details will be posted on the training page and sent out to you shortly.
