SOLID Remix 2010.
With all the chairs removed from the cathedral, and replaced with various inflatable games, labyrinth a carnival area, two craft tables, DJ, street dance and Drum workshops a lyrycist lounge, giant screen games consoles and loads more activities, the doors opened and in flooded over 300 people. Throughout the course of the evening there were opportunities to have a go at DJ-ing, graffiti-ing, glass painting, and writing rap / songs / poems in the brand new lyracist lounge. After walking through the spiritual labyrinth, playing a bit of pool and table tennis we could relax in the café area, chat with friends and watch people playing on the big screen Wii or indulging in some nostalgic fair ground games!!
Then the evening accumulated at about 9pm in a big praise party with Taste banging out some awesome worship tunes, Diversion performing a short sketchand Mark Ritchie speaking to us about how amazing God is, and that he is always doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:19).
During the evening we spent some time in prayer for the disaster in Haiti, raising over £300 for Tearfunds emergency appeal. If you would like to donate please go to www.tearfund.org
