SOLID YOUTH FESTIVAL - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

The information on this site should answer most of your questions about the Youth Festival. However, if you need to know anything else or can’t find what you are looking for then please call or email us, we’d be delighted to help you.

Dates: 5pm Friday 4th to 1pm Sunday 6th July 2008

Where: Stubbers’ Adventure Centre, Ockendon Road, Upminster, RM14 2TY

Who’s it for?: Young people aged 11+ accompanied by very responsible youth leaders(!)

What’s it about?: SOLID Youth Festival is an activity weekend, packed full of exciting stuff for young people to do. Its primary purpose is to introduce young people to Jesus and begin exploring Jesus’ statement about what it means to ‘live life to the full’.

It’s an ideal event for Christian young people to bring their un-churched friends.

All Groups must have at least one adult leader (over 18) per ten young people (under 18).

Young people are the full responsibility of the group leader.

Viz-A-Viz Ministries, Scripture Union, GB England & Wales and Diocese of Chelmsford jointly own financial and legal responsibility of SOLID.

SOLID’s management consists of: Sue Hunt (Project Manager), Beth Powney, Richard Shaw, Dennis Pethers, Rod Maycock, Richard Keeler, Mark Pape, Peter Taylor, Kat Bevis, Joy Clark, Pete Hillman and Karen Tullett (SOLID Administrator).

SOLID and Stubbers’ have public liability insurance for no less than five million pounds.

SOLID has 24-hour stewards and security.

All SOLID events are subject to license

SOLID’s management has the right to remove any persons behaving in an unreasonable manner. It is the responsibility of the group leader to ensure their removal from the site.
